Antarctic researchers are invited to attend an in-person workshop on 30 May in Christchurch to learn about the new Strategic Catalyst funding from the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE).
Up to five million dollars over five years will support joint Antarctic research between New Zealand and the United States, significantly contributing to global scientific understanding.
This funding will help strengthen the enduring relationships between New Zealand and US researchers and institutions. It will also create opportunities for emerging researchers and leaders, attracting and retaining top-tier talent while fostering a new generation of scientific leaders.
The purpose of the workshop is to bring together individuals interested in forming collaborative teams within New Zealand and identifying potential partners in the United States. The 3-hour workshop will begin at 10am on Friday 30 May, at the Antarctic Passenger Terminal and will be recorded for those unable to attend in person.
Please register your intention to attend. More information will be emailed in the coming weeks to those who register their interest.
