The Scott Base camera looks towards the Hanger at centre with the Carpenter’s Shop at right. Vehicles can be seen at the hitching post at lower left.
In the winter when it is completely dark, only the Scott Base webcam is live.
ROSS ISLAND WIND FARM WEBCAM This webcam is situated on Crater Hill at the site of the Ross Island Wind Energy project. Black Island is in the distance.
The image shows one of three 330Kw, Enercon E33 wind turbines which stand 33m high.These were installed by Meridian Energy and supply power to McMurdo Station and Scott Base. The sea ice runway is also visible to the right.
ARRIVAL HEIGHTS WEBCAM This webcam is situated at the Arrival Heights Research Laboratory and looks towards the peaks of the Royal Society Range. This camera is currently disabled for routine maintence.
