Conference Venue: Christchurch Town Hall, 86 Kilmore Street, Christchurch

The Christchurch Town Hall is one of Christchurch’s most recognisable pieces of architecture.  It has reopened after three years of restoration work including strengthening to 100% of the new building standard, reinstating its iconic heritage features as well as a significant upgrade and overall refurbishment.  Our conference is being held in the Avon and Victoria rooms. We are thrilled to be one of the first conferences in the Town Hall since its reopening. For more information about the Town Hall click here.

Accommodation:

BreakFree on Cashel Street is a low cost option and is 10 minutes walk from the conference venue. There are also a number of motels along Bealey Avenue which is around a 10–15 minute walk from the venue.

For those who wish to stay near the airport, the Sudima Hotel is a few minutes walk from the airport. 

Airport transfers: The airport is a 25 minute drive from the central city.  A taxi fare to the city centre is approximately $50 one way, a shuttle bus $25 or airport bus $8.50

 

 

Terms and Conditions

Insurance: All insurance is the responsibility of the registrants.  Antarctica New Zealand,  The Conference Organising Committee, The Conference Team and the Christchurch Town Hall accept no liability for death or illness or injury / accident to or financial loss by any person attending the conference, whatever the cause.  Registration of the delegate will indicate acceptance of these terms.

Cancellation: All cancellations must be in writing to The Conference Team.  If following your registration you are unable to attend please notify the organisers as soon as possible to arrange a transfer of registration or a partial refund.  Notification received after 1 June incurs a $75 admin fee.  There will be no refunds made for late arrival or early departure from the conference.

The fine print: Should the conference need to be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances / natural disaster, a partial refund of registration fees will be considered.

Payments: Payment can be made by requesting an invoice or by credit card – via Payment Express DPS PxPay. Please note credit card transactions will be under the name The Conference Team.  A 3% surcharge is payable if paying by credit card. MasterCard or Visa only is accepted.
