SCOTT BASE BUILDING RENAMED AFTER FORMER DIRECTOR

FIRST FLIGHT TO ANTARCTICA

The first flight to Antarctica departed from Christchurch at 7am Saturday 20th August, following four months of winter darkness down on the Ice.

ANTARCTICA NEW ZEALAND GOES FOR GOLD

Antarctica New Zealand Chief Executive Lou Sanson said he was delighted that the organisation had gained Gold Accreditation with Enviro-Mark. One of our core values is caring for the environment. We recognise the intrinsic value of the environment and are committed to its protection. This achievement and a tribute to the hard work of a number of people throughout the organisation with strong leadership from the environmental team.
