Antarctica New Zealand supports between 50 and 70 events in Antarctica each season which runs from October to late February. An Event is a group (1 or more people) who are working together with the same set of objectives. Events fall into the following categories:

• winter staff

• Antarctica New Zealand staff
• environmental monitoring & compliance
• Invited Visitors
• Antarctic Arts Fellows
• Education
• Media initiatives
• Operational support and worker visitors
• Antarctic Heritage Trust
