Events Supported

Antarctica New Zealand supports between 50 and 70 events in Antarctica each season which runs from October to late February. An Event is a group (1 or more people) who are working together with the same set of objectives. Most events fall into the following categories:

• science
• winter staff
• summer staff
• Antarctica New Zealand Staff
• environmental monitoring & compliance
• Invited Visitors
• Antarctic Arts Fellows
• Education
• Media Initiatives
• Operational Support and Worker Visitors
• Antarctic Heritage Trust
