380m midway point reached by RICE (Roosevelt Island Climate Evolution) project

A Kiwi-led group of scientists with logistics support from Antarctica New Zealand have drilled over half-way into the 800m slab of ice they’re camped on for the second season in the remote Roosevelt Island located 700km east of Scott Base.
