Determining the morphology of Antarctic sea-ice from remotely sensed imagery

The aim of this project was to find a new method of determining the floe size distribution of Antarctic sea-ice from synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images made available from the Earth Resources Satellite (ERS-1). These images are ideal for measurement of sea-ice morphology due to their high spatial resolution and all weather capability.
