Selection of Oral Presentations You will be informed in early June if we are able to accommodate your talk or not into the programme. We often do have more people wanting to give a talk than we have time for, so please consider the option of presenting a poster if we are not able to fit you in.
Format of Oral Presentations All talks slots will be 20 minutes long. We suggest a 15 minute presentation with 5 minutes for questions.
Student Talk Competition There will be a first and second prize for the best student talks. These will be awarded at the close of the conference.

Poster Guidelines All posters are to be in A0 Portrait format (32.7 x 45.4 inches or 83.0 x 115.4 cm).
For those who are new to designing and presenting posters, we offer some guidelines (download below) for how to design your poster to convey your information in the most user-friendly way possible. We encourage all poster presenters to refer to these guidelines before designing their posters.
Display of Posters Posters can be displayed from 9am on Wednesday 1 July. We ask that you display your poster at your earliest convenience and leave it up for the duration of the conference. The number allocated to your poster which indicates where you need to display it, can be found in your conference programme, which you will receive upon registration. Materials for fixing your poster to the poster boards will be provided.
We strongly recommend that poster presenters consider producing A4 handouts of their poster (approximately 50-70 copies) and display these with the poster so people can take a copy away with them for future reference. We will supply a holder for these handouts at each poster location.
Poster Sessions Posters will be available for viewing throughout the conference. There will be three dedicated poster sessions during the conference. These will be preceded by a Poster Introduction session in which a group of poster presenters give a one minute introduction of their poster. Past experience has shown that this is an ideal way to highlight each poster so that viewers can get an idea of which posters will be of interest to them. The conference programme that you will receive upon registration will indicate which session you are to present your poster in.
Note that another ideal time to view the posters will be Thursday and Friday morning between 8-9am before the conference proceedings start. Morning tea and coffee will be available at this time.
Student Poster Competition There will be a first and second prize for the best student posters. These will be awarded at the close of the conference.
